Srila Prabhupada once told, "These vaishnava songs are like a thunderbolt which can crack mountain like heart of ours. The mountain does not know the power of thunderbolt but it will crack him"
He also said, "Everybody should sing vaishnava songs". Somebody can say that we don't know Bengali so we don't understand the meaning. To this argument Srila Prabhupada say, "Then also you should sing this vaishnava songs."
Srila Prabhupada said that if one understands the purports of the songs of Bhakti Vinoda Thakur and Narothama das thakur that is sufficient to attain Love of Godhead.
